Inner Work 1

Through an act of Will, the One reflected on itself and knew itself fully in all its varied aspects. That refraction gave birth to the potentialities stored within the 'pregnant emptiness.' This recognition of self and the extension of a seeming separateness would have collapsed immediately back upon itself into Unity without the ability to circumscribe itself. The second pole of the 'seeming extension' acts as a container and allows for fully exploring any emanation's potential.

The Golden Chain of Homer states, "When collected in a sufficient quantity, and violently agitated, it is manifested into burning fire. This continues burning as long as it is agitated and has a fit subject to act upon; when that fails, it returns to its first state or tranquil Universality. In its third state of heat and burning fire it is visible, hot or burning, and becomes somewhat material as it occupies Room or Space whilst in this State."

In the paragraph above, the writer of the Golden Chain of Homer states that when this ubiquitous sentience is concentrated enough, a 'fire' is produced, that emanates and houses itself in physical appearance. The form occupying room or space will continue as long it remains a fit subject to act upon. When that is no longer possible, the ubiquitous sentience returns to its tranquil Universality.

That interplay of emanation & experience is the reason for existence be it physical or immaterial. It comes into being to accomplish a task, and seeks various ways to achieve that task and, in so doing, gains understanding about itself. When it has reached its end, it dissolves back into the origin.

Without this vital counter-circumscription to the expansive nature of Will, barely anything would be experienced in the universe as it would be like a person who is full of ideas but unable to do anything. The emanation/experience cycle is like a bunch of unit tests carried out by all species members. Their individual experience commingled upon their dissolution to be added to the store house of knowledge and understanding. The third emanation of the One is responsible for the full exploration of polarity within any expression of the One, and the reintegration of that experience into the collective unconscious.
